The question is, if he realized he only handled the money, how could his soul accept all the money and benefits that he hoarded for himself?

Did he not realize all the money that he hoarded in his name belonged to the employees who actually worked? Or, he do not hoard the money?

How to decide how much one should keep for oneself if the business starts flourishing in a good way? How can this be measured? Enjoying more than what is deserved seems to be inappropriate. But what is deserved and what is undeserved?
